Caladium - 'Postman Joyner'
Pot diameter: 12cm
Caladiums - or angel wings - are native to South America, where they grow in the partially shaded understory of tropical trees. Caladium plants require a medium light area with protection from midday sun, which will scorch the leaves. Humidity is crucial to Caladium houseplant care as the tubers are native to South American tropical forests and produce seasonal foliage during the rainy, warm season. Mimicking the plant’s native conditions is key to successfully introducing the plant to the home.
You can keep the humidity high by misting your caladium regularly with water, and keeping it away from blow heaters or air conditioning.
Caladiums are a tuber and so they only flower between Spring and Autumn, and then have a rest period of around 5 months.
These stunning plants are the perfect pretty house plant for your home, or a wonderful gift.
